President & Properties: Dennis Bischke

Dennis resides in Harvard, Illinois, on the family farm. He has been a member of St. John’s since December 2007. He has been a Lutheran all his life. Dennis is the Vice President of St. John’s church council. He also serves as the Vice President of Harvard Milk Days, Inc., and Assistant General Chairman, a trustee of Dunham Township. Dennis is currently enrolled in the Diakonia program to be a lay minister and to help spread the good news. Dennis has two grown sons and five grandchildren.

Gayle Mansfield was born in Canada and came to Illinois when she was 5. She was a member of Nativity Lutheran Church in Wonder Lake until her marriage in 1969. She became a member of St. John’s in 1974 and spent the next 14 years teaching 5th and 6th grade Sunday School classes. Her personal mission is to help seniors be the best they can be. God has blessed her with 2 children, 2 in-law children and 3 grandchildren. Kim, Shawn, Skip, Anne, Dalton, Kattie, and Payton are her life.

Treasurer: Pat Peterson

Patricia Peterson has been a member of St. John’s since 1983. She has her BS in Education and an MS in Gerontology from the University of Illinois. Though she is retired, she serves as the treasurer at St. John’s and is the secretary to the Board of Directors at Inspiration Ministries in Walworth,Wisconsin. She’s married to Bob Peterson; they have 7 children and 6 grandchildren. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, gardening, working around the farm, traveling, and helping Jess at the office.
